Meet your 2008 Court!!
Hi, my name is Hope Luttrell you’re 2008 rodeo Queen. I am a
second grader at Bethal Christian School in McMinnville, Oregon. I am seven
years old and have been doing rodeo since I was two years old. My ponies name is
Smokey, and my horses name is Speedy. I like the barrels, goats, and roping. My
hobbies are crafting, reading and sewing. I am taking this opportunity as queen
to hopefully do some good in my community. During the summer I will be
delivering western care packages to the children of Doernbecher’s Hospital. I
have already attended one coronation for the Yamhill County Court and had lots
of fun. In February I will be attending the queen’s clinic to learn more. I am
very excited to represent the COPWRA at many events over the next year.
Hi my name is
Valerie James and I am very proud to be one of the 2008 Central Oregon Pee Wee
Rodeo Association’s Princesses. I’m 12 years old and live in Sandy, Oregon. I
have been riding horses for 8 years. I like gaming, jumping, dressage, and
running 4-D barrels. I will be starting my first year on the Wrangler Division
of the High School Rodeo Association. My favorite events are barrel racing, pole
bending, and goat tying. I love to hunt, draw, sing, read, and help my mom give
riding lessons. I like school very much and I am a straight “A” student. I also
enjoy volunteering to help send care packages to our dedicated service men and
women who are fighting for us in Iraq and Afghanistan. I am very excited to
represent our association over the next year and hope I can help to promote the
sport of rodeo.
Hi everyone, I would like to welcome you to the 2008 COPWRA. My name is Kilee Sofich, one of your 2008 Princesses. I am nine years old and attend Warren Elementary, in Warren, Oregon. I love the sport of rodeo and compete in pole bending, barrels, goat tying and roping. When I am not riding I like to play basketball, crafts, shopping and hang out with my family and friends. We have been working hard to make sure everything is ready for the upcoming year full of coronations, parades and rodeos throughout the state of Oregon. I am really excited about the chaps we designed with the help of Laura Yazzolino owner of Cowboy Leather. What a cool skill and craft that would be to learn! I have already attended the Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon and Columbia County coronations and we have several more to attend. In February I will be attending the Cowgirls and Crowns Rodeo Queen Clinic and in March the 2008 Miss Oregon Rodeo Coronation. I am also taking this opportunity, as your princess, to help my local community with the Columbia Flood Relief. I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to represent the sport of rodeo and our great association and I am looking forward to my coming year as one of your 2008 COPWRA Princesses.
